Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Akamar is provided to help organise and run Twilight Imperium 4 tournaments. By using it, you agree to the following.

No warranties. Akamar is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. You use it at your own risk.

No liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Team Voidborn will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, Akamar — including lost data, missed tournament results, or Discord messages that fail to send.

Fair use. Don't use Akamar to misrepresent another person, attempt to disrupt the service, or access data you haven't been given permission to see.

Changes. These terms may be updated from time to time; continuing to use Akamar after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Who we are. Akamar is operated by Team Voidborn, who is the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact us about any privacy matter at privacy@akamar.app.

What we collect. Your Discord identity (handle and numeric ID) and display name, always; your email and phone number only if you choose to give them; and the tournament data tied to your participation — table assignments, factions, scores, and your responses to round-confirmation prompts.

Why. Solely to run the tournaments you've joined — seating you at tables, recording results, and contacting you (including via the Discord bot) about rounds you're part of. This rests on our legitimate interest in administering an event you voluntarily signed up for.

Who we share it with. Discord (to sign you in and operate the tournament bot) and our hosting provider (to run the servers this app runs on). We never sell your data, and don't share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it. For as long as needed to run the tournament and keep a historical record of results, or until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights. You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to how we use it — email privacy@akamar.app. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
